I've got the audiocontrol lc7i, but haven't installed it yet since I have yet to install my aftermarket equipment. I've been reading more about the oem noise floor issue and am thinking about using a dsp Instead of the loc.

If you have a dsp instead of a loc, which one are you using and do you get any hiss from your system?

Also, I'm looking at the Helix dsp.

Allot of hising and line noise is coming from grounding issues mostly and can be solved but not in all situations is it from grounding

it's proven that the factory hu has a high noise floor. I know about ground loop noise and that's not what I'm talking about. Thanks for your suggestion though.

Regrounding the head unit has reduced any high freq floor noises that i got using even a basic loc... why i brought it up, I'm not referring to ground loop noises associated with alternator and other tone generating issues.... but anyways i know some Loc's can also be grounded to reduce the noise problem
