Great tires. Great for rocks when aired down, super strong sidewalls. Little tough on MPG but it’s a truck and getting poor MPG is a given, armor, sliders, winch, winch bumper, hard shell, etc...

All stock as far as the suspension...Strangely enough, I had traded this one in for my wife's new 4Runner when I left Charlottesville a few months ago. And then two days ago ended up getting a the same setup but a 2019. So, I'll be doing the same exact setup with wheels and tires as soon as I can get the fundage. Even stranger - I moved to Mass. Small world.

Anybody have any issues with local installers fuckin’ up your brand new matte black TRD rims right outta the box when mounting brand new tires to rims? Haven’t gotten them yet but stock tires and rims are going bye bye. Anything they can do to avoid scratching, etc.?

No. I am purchasing Nitto Ridge Grapplers 265/70/17 online through TireBuyer.com, having them shipped to a local Firestone dealer and having them do the install. I am purchasing the TRD SEMA rims through my local Toyota dealership.

Here is my Pro with 16" wheels and Nitto Ridge Grapplers. I believe if you go with the 17" you can get them in a c rated tire. Whereas mine are e rated and pretty heavy.20181021_161224.jpg 20181021_161132.jpg

I prefer to buy from a local store because if one has trouble balancing they exchange it in the spot. Your kinda stuck with what you had shipped into the store, dealing with the exchange and crediting a credid card. Been there done that. Worst experience in buying tires I ever had.

What are you guys using for tire air pressure for everyday pavement driving on TRD rims and Nitto Ridge Grapplers 265/70/R17, C rating? Looking for the smoothest, quietest ride I can get on these puppies.

Thinking of getting this tires. Not sure if 70 or 65 with almost stock suspension when I put stock suspension back on with strut spacers(1/2" and 1/4")

Thank you. Sometimes less is best. I want it to look like it came from Toyota this way. I have a OEM Pro grill I have to put in and then a set of OEM running boards that sit flush with the bottom of the cab. Still on the fence about the boards. Nice looking truck and 4Runner you have there. I like the running boards on the OR.
