Anyone running retrofit projector headlights?

plus, people don’t realize that for every halo, demon eye or strip you ad, there is a little driver to go with it the should be mounted.


I’m trying to clean everything up with wire loom and zip ties so it doesn’t look like a rats nest under the hood.

Most people here will recommend TYC capa certified but for 98-2000 I don't think they make a clear lens so you're stuck with Anzo and Spyder. Anzo will be good enough for a retro. They just won't last as long as the TYC but I didn't have any issues with fitment. I've never used Spyder for a retro so I'm not sure about them but I have heard complaints about them but that wasn't about retros as it was their performance in original form.

 

I had a set of spyders with leds on the bottom
The LeDs started to go out after less than a year

 

Any gap between the shroud and the back of the housing?

 

Did you sand down your housings before black paint?

Your Shrouds look amazing by the way...I can tell you put a lot of work into them

 

I have a pair of the ACS light from 2006. Held up great. Nice cut off and no issues with state inspections. Had retros been a thing back then I would of went that way as some setups I've seen are sick but work with what I've got.

Thank you. 225deg for 10 minutes and the lens cam off like butter. It seems intimidating but it is actually pretty simple. Tucking the wires away is prob the most time consuming part.

 

I do wiring for a living so I'm used to that. You got me looking at the parts now. Guess my stimulus is gonna get spent on parts.

 

Thanks for the compliment, I’m proud of them! I can’t remember if I used satin or flat black on the bowl, but I did scuff it up and use primer. On the shroud it’s two-tone gloss black and DupliColor OEM match Lunar Mist Metallic
