Anyone running the 2.7L with this many mods?

2021 Tacoma SR model 4x4 with 4 cylinder.

Bumpers: C4 fabrication hybrid front bumper w/ full height bull bar and 10K Scar winch, C4 rock runner high clearance rear bumper W/ single angled tube.

Armor: C4 fab full skid plates (flat belly) and fuel tank skid, rock runner sliders

Lights: 2 squadron Baja designs SAE, 2 squadron Baja designs sport (driving/combo)

Wheels: method 703's 16in

Tires: 265/75R16 BFG KO3

Fenders: Rough country (black)

Tune: overland tailor (torque) tuned

it’s not very fast but engine is bulletproof.

 

Nice build! Mine is clearly slow as well but try to get it tuned if you havnt done so yet, helps a ton!

Thanks. Only problem is any tune will fail smog in California so a pedal commander is good enough for now.

 

I thought OTT was good for California smog?

 

Mine has the OTT tune, and it passed Colorado emissions just fine.

OTT is CARB certified, so your tuner should be able to get you a proper CARB sticker - if that helps.

 

OTT tune should still work in Cali. It just changes the throttle mapping and shift points. Doesn't effect carb or emissions

 

Some emission sites will actually check calibration ID numbers, it all depends. It would still pass the sniffer, but they scan them.

 

I was provided with a CARB EO sticker by the guy that tuned my rig. I don't expect any issues with CA smog.

 

Are you also in SoCal? Did Quoc tune your truck?
