I wheeled with these cv axles, and my friends will tell you I'm not afraid of the skinny pedal but what do I know :burp:

The manufacturer improved these axles. Something to do with the balls(7vs8?)/joints. I didn't talk directly to the manufacturer. A NAPA employee called & passed the info to me. If you got them at NAPA you'll see the original is out of stock & there's a new part/new#. Original warranty transfers. I imagine it's the same for other retailers.

I had a question about these cv axles I currently have a 3" icon lift I've been going through cv axles like no other I keep getting torn inner cv boots so if you have these on is it wise to remove the diff drop kit and bring the diff back up or do I keep the diff drop on when putting the extended travel cv axles on?

    Diff drops are useless.

Easiest thing to do is lower your lift; you have an IFS truck and 3" is too much.

Bumping up this old thread with a question that has somewhat been addressed with these axles...
They have the ability to extend 40mm laterally farther than a stock axle. A +1" LT kit (like the one featured by Terra Crew on YT, they never mention their source for axles) is intriguing to me. The plan for the truck is to keep it narrow, but since the plan is to build my own control arms anyways going a bit wider is easy to do. 10" of travel or a bit more would be worth the trouble. My hope is that it also gives me more room to clear my coilover (at the UCA) at a greater angle, allowing for more stroke on the coilover.
This will take up some of the lateral travel on the CV, but it looks like it should be able to handle it. Anyone have any reason they're aware of that this is a stupid idea? I'll probably mock it up on some stock control arms before committing completely to the wider arms.
