Suspended but able to practice with the team and he is able to hang on to his scholarship. He went from a second or third round pick in the NFL draft to undraftable. That's the part that he will have to live with.

Every action has a consequence....remember that.

 

Thats bull. He should have lost his scholarship and been suspended from NCAA football.

 

He got what he deserved. It was a disgusting cheap shot. Bragging, taunting is part of the game. Although the Boise state player was also in the wrong, his coach was right there to get him away and stop it, just not soon enough. My favorite part is that he is a Senior, no more collegiate football for him. Such a dumbass.

Being from Oregon, and a Duck fan, I was disgusted watching that. I think Oregon staff made the correct decision in suspending him for season, effectively ending his football career. I am on the fence regading taking his scholarship.

I do beleive that Boise State should at least publicly reprimand they guy who got knocked the F*** out. NCAA had them all line up pregame for a nice sportsmanship gesture. Boise just wiped the field with Oregon. No need for the trash talk, and shoulder slap. Not that I agree with what happened, nor am I placing blame on Boise State, just sayin, no need for the talk after a game like that.

Ya I watched it on ESPN, anyone hear why he hit him? I know he touched him on the shoulder, but he had to have said something.

 

Watch the tape: Whatever the Boise State player said, the coach right next to him swings around because he knows that there is going to be trouble. While I am not condoning what the Oregon player did, and I agree with his punishment, I think that the Boise State player needs to ride the pine for a few weeks to ensure that he knows that you cannot just spout off and not expect consequenses.

We tell these kids to knock each others heads off for 60 minutes on national TV and then the whistle blows and they are all supposed to be buddies?? Oregon got exposed for the football myth that they are, but whatever the Boise St player said was obviously inflamatory and definately did not need to be said. I really do not have a dog in this fight because I am an SEC fan (Auburn to be exact, and we have our own issues), but I still think that Oregon got a raw deal here. Boise State needs to shoulder some of the blame for this. IMHO...

I am almost positive anyone hit in the jaw blindsided would drop to their knees. In all fairness, NONE of the Boise State players reacted to the punch which is excellent.

Its a team sport, and he completely let himself, his family, the team, and his school down.

but i dont agree with the suspension of legarette blount. it was too weak. he needs to be banned from ALL football related activites. they said he can practice and attend meetings but not play. and his scholarship isnt getting revoked!

my punishment:

scholarship revoked, banned from ever playing football at oregon again. but even if he does play, he wont get drafted unless some team decides to take him. the bengals might because they draft trouble guys anway. heck put him with vick just dont go to the steelers
