Interesting, I like how it looks 'stock'. I would entertain purchasing that if I knew it was a good unit. Anyone wanna try first...????

What he said! These things are very involved and a shity one is no better that your stock radio just harder to use. If you want the factory look def get a Rosen they are actually a great unit. Remember with a lot of this kind of stuff you really do get what you pay for.

No But I have sold them for many years, I have used a couple knock off factory looking navigation systems and decided years ago to go back to Rosen because they are more reliable and easy to use most of the installs I do with them are for car dealers so it is very important that they work well and look stock, dealers are a large part of my business. If you would like to see how Rosen units work your local car toys should have a demo hooked up, ask for the commercial manager as they are a commercial product not sold in the demo rooms. It probably won't be the Tacoma unit on display but the system is the same in all of them they just change the look depending on the car it's for. So you can get a good feel for how they work.

Does anyone know if the factory navigation unit in the link below is a Rosen? The face of the unit is different from the one pictured above.

That looks like the newest Rosen user interface. It's actually really cool.

Ouch on the price! Would rather install one of those Tomtom GPSs or something if I was you. I have one at home, just need to program it and put it in my truck

unfortunately im one of those, or want to be. i dont really care the cost just as long as i get what i want out of it, and its fast, easy to use and not a pain to install. with that said, I was looking at other cars stock navi units and id have to say that i totally fell in love with Audi's A4 mmi navigation system. wish i knew a way to make it work in my truck, or id buy it already. :D

Unlike a tomtom it does more than just navigate. You get a multimedia entertainment system. It does your dvd video, music files on sd card or usb, Bluetooth, backup camera optional, and much more.

I called my local stereo store and they do sell the Rosen Navigation unit. They said they have the universal Rosen navigation unit on display and that the interface is the same as the factory look ones. He quoted me $950 and about $1200 something installed. I'm thinking about ordering the ebay one because its cheap.

Yeah I know and that's what holding me back on the ebay one. If only I was at that SEMA car show. I'll be all over that Rosen unit.
