Hey, for those of us with the lowly trim levels, do you guys know if this is powered only when engine is on? I think it powers parking sensors on the fancier trims. I'm wondering if I can tap into this for some LEDs or something.

No parking sensors on the front of any 3rd gen (unless aftermarket, which I have not personally seen).

That connector powers your front fog lights. It is on the same circuit as your headlights, and controlled by the stalk, and can be on even if the truck is off, though not permanently (unless you leave a door open or something), or if the truck is in ACC mode.

So I have an SR and I ran my own fuse and auxiliary cable to an aftermarket switch for my fogs. If I don't have the stalk for fog lights is there any way to utilize this cable for something else?

Ah, you have left the realm of OEM and my advice stops there.

It seems like you are using the cable (the one your circled) though?

I borrowed this photo from someone asking about the temperature sensor above it. On my SR it simply terminates. This guy has fogs I guess.

    Ah, I see.

I am unfamiliar with the lighting stalk wiring itself, so I can't speak to how you may be able to use this OEM connector.

Hood Struts, My version Fogs always ON, Map & Overhead Light Mod,
Since you don't have the "upper" scale Taco with a light stalk that includes the fog select choice, you'd have to add a switch, relay, fuse in order to "use" it.

    Nitori's OEM SR Foglight mod!
