FIrst off I just bought the truck and will be starting an overland build thread soon. It is a 2012 4dr 4x4 with 6spd and trd supercharger. I doubt that info is relavent but who knows I thought I would throw it our there. Both of these are under the dash by the pocket by the drivers left knee. One has a rotating switch with min and max values, the other looks like it has a tiny light on it like a keychain flashlight with a push button on top, I havent touched either yet lol.

I "think" it's a dealer installed alarm system. My last truck had something like that. The blue plug when removed disables the vehicle I believe. If its not that, it's something very close to that. Probably came from a dealer in an area with high crime and/or vehicle theft

    Yeah,

Looks like Karr security system. Seems to be a dealer installed add on that doesn't do much.

Yea, OP needs to know how it works so It will not leave him on the side of the road or something stupid like that.

I have that on my truck. Dealer installed. If I had to go back I would have had them remove it before I took ownership of the truck, but I haven't really had any issues with it other than 2 times in 4 years when it starts going off while driving on the freeway. That was annoying. It gives off a bright blue flash that is kind of cool I guess.

KARR alarm. I have one on my truck. never had an issue with it. But god damn had to pull teeth to get a tech to tell me how to bypass it if needed.
