This would be my idea of a 2 wheel drive truck, but obviously not a daily driver.

Funny I’ve never had anyone say that, and if they did, I’d tell them to f* themselves. Shows how much I care what others think of me

I dont let it bother me. I've had jeep say they've never seen anything but a jeep go up this one trail in Hot springs and I just kinda laughed and said we've done this trail a few times so get ready to watch 8 Toyotas make it up. I just dont care and I've got other capable Toyotas at the house but I cant drive them all at the same time to show them up in all of them.

Maybe if I was rich...But I'd still be tempted to lift it and 4x4 swap it...

    My Taco and I have
Pushed an F150 down the road and up an incline back to a mechanics shop for a buddy

Towed a 1500 off a major roadway in heavy traffic up into a gas station for a couple of guys stuck on road blocking traffic

I've thought of making bumper stickers for my back window like an American dog fighter showing off those Japanese war flag kills.

Sounds like you need to re-read post 2 by @rtzx9r and apply it to your life.

In support of that, you need new friends.

Folks who deride your vehicle and ethnicity aren't of the finest caliber. You want friends who focus on your character and a interactive relationship, not superficial stuff.

Tacomas aren’t small trucks....a double cab long bed is anything but a small truck. Our second gens are the size of the old tundras.

That's true. Trucks have just gotten bigger and bigger over time to the point where most people have a truck that's way overkill for their needs

OP - people that say crap about your truck really don't know what they are talking about anyway. I kid around with people and say "I've got a new mini-truck" because what makes it funny is that it's not mini or small by any means. Do a Google search on mini trucks, Chevy Luv, etc... and you'll see what I mean. I'm old enough to remember the original mini- trucks...and these aren't those. I do think those vintage mini trucks are cool and have their purpose though.

Just know that there are people in the world that are too stupid to have a valid opinion. I've said that out loud one time to someone and everyone within earshot busted out laughing. Now my buddy uses that phrase all the time and has almost worn it out LOL. It's a good zinger to use at the right moment though.

So you laugh at people with 4x2 trucks but get tired of people laughing at you because you don’t have a full size truck?

I think that’s called “not being able to smell your own shit when you’re on your knees.”

You have a good point. However, I never say it to their face! I just mention it to whoever's next to me when I see one on the road

One of my friends at work constantly jokes about how I should have bought a full size, mostly when he’s riding in my backseat :)

He can have his full size truck and its mpgs, shitty parking options, and admittedly spacious interior. I’ll take my Taco any day, I love it. I have no need for more.
