Anyone tried using a Scosche dash mount in a +2016?

I found this online and I like the idea of having Waze on a bigger screen than my phone.
The listing is specific to 2012-2015 Tacomas. It would be awesome if they made these mounts for 3rd gen as well.

Here's a dumb question: will it work with Apple's CarPlay? I have an iPhone.

 

Don't have an Iphone, but I most of the variants of these headunits do support Apple Carplay.

Personally, I wouldn't use AA OR AC with since using a hotspot with my phone and connecting calls to it's bluetooth gives it the same AA/AC functionalities and much more. The voice command button is mapped to Google's assistant commands.
