So, is it possible to run a Supercharger AND a Turbo on the same 4.0 engine? ;)

I dunno anything about either of them really, but that twin charged says its a test pull and its the only one I found in tor's vids so I assume much more came from it, I was just simply showing that it could be done. but that's a lot of fabbing and heat and not necessarily the best of both at the end of the day imo. I feel like the SC will limit the turbo's out put in high rpms, but this is mostly speculation

Been a while since I've been able to drive it..
Maybe it's 2-2.5rpms before turbo was at full boost.. and yes I'm saying I had "turbo lag" from 0rmps-until-2or3rmps..

GT3582R. TiAL SS Turbine housing. ~1.0X A/R. That sucker spooled ridiculously quickly. Around ~450 wtq at ~8psi. Auto with a valve body upgrade. Toon's old truck, and also the first truck to win a top 3 trophy at WEKFEST in California. Also had some pictures added to Garrett's web page.

Well in all fairness....the 78 Vette only produced about 185 HP with a horrible smog controlled, de-tuned engine. The first time I drove one I thought Vettes were super cars....oh was I wrong. My 82 Z28 came with a 305....it made something like 3 horsepower.... 8-0

Nitrous kit, anyone? I'm well aware of their shortcomings but just look at the total amount spent by the time all is said and done. If a person really is just looking for a little more power,it doesn't seem like an awful option.

Oh, I don't need one; if I wanted something with more power than my Taco, I would have bought it. Much respect to the folks pushing the power by any means available, but not for me.

4.0L is going to make a lot more exhaust to spin up that turbine than 2.2L. Throw in a ball bearing center section with a properly matched A/R on the hot side and you can build boost really quickly. Usually, you're going to sacrifice a bit of top end power to get that fast spool, but for a street application it's worth it.
