I guess no one got the sarcasm, I was just being a dick because he said 2-3rpms and not 2000-3000rpms. And the WRX in the states has always been either 2.0 or 2.5L, we never got the 2.2L motor.

A new bolt here, a new bolt there, a new bolt everywhere.
Reading some of the comments on here and . Some people on here really have no idea how a turbo truely produces power and if forcing air is your answer then you are probably one of the ones I am talking about and your wrong. This is as equivalent as the guy who states that the air passing through a venturi sucks the fuel out of a carburetor...which is wrong too but I said what I needed too. Now back to :popcorn:

I wonder what you guys with armor, big tires, and recovery equipment do with a stock engine. You guys must really lack gearing and power.

Turbo would also help regain some lost fuel economy with weight too. The Taco does suck as far as tempermental fuel economy. Its great if all factors are perfect but add speed, wind, stop and go traffic, high rpms, bigger tires, a cap etc and fuel ecomomy tanks to the teens. Which I think is why I judge the Taco so harshly. My work truck gets 12-14mpgs. A Tacoma that weighs half as much should be better but I consistently get 16-18 mpgs on road trips when traveling 75. Day to day I get 20-21 which isnt bad so can't complain too much.

Borla Catback Exhaust, Snorkel, 33s on either 16's or 18's, ARB Bumper, All Pro LT w/Walker Evan Shocks front and back, All Pro expedition leaf pack, 10,000lb Superwinch, Intake Manifold Spacer, Bed Rack with ARB RTT, Rotopack and Hi Lift mounted, Husky Liner mats and an air freshener from 1995.
We learn quick that we're not built for speed. However, I can drive 100kph in conditions that most would only be able to do 60-70 tops.

Also I put on an intake manifold spacer to return a little low end grunt.

You can go get on some of the Porsche forums (6SpeedOnline) and you can pick up the factory 996 turbo Borg Warner K16 turbos for $300-$400. That's twin turbos that are already sized for a 3.6L engine. You can get the factory intercoolers for almost nothing as well. If you are handy, the parts are out there to do it cheap. Always get a good tune tho.
