Anyone use a vertical tire gate?

I have been going back and forth about a high clearance bumper with tire swing. Not sure I want to put that much $$ into my 06.

Has anyone tried a vertical tire gate like the Wilco or other makers? It would solve the spare tire u see the vehicle. Only downside I can see is you lose sitting on the tailgate or using that area of the tailgate. You would gain the tire carrier abs probably do a fold down table easily as well

the Wilco is expensive but I have seen a forum member who makes nice ones at a really reasonable cost. One benefit is that you could go back to standard tailgate if needed. Installation and removal don’t seem to take too long
