Has anybody tried paint matching one of the Victory 4x4 bumpers? I'm considering one for my 05 but I'm not a fan of the black bumpers on certain colors including my red:

Getting ready to pull the trigger on this bumper. Can anyone provide some insight and/or photos of what they did with the plastic inner fender.

I just took some scissors and chopped it. Easy peasy.

And then what? Does the end just hang there unsupported?

Correct, there’s some factory retaining clips that kind of hold the liner near the top where you chop it. So that’s essentially what supports it. You just need to make sure the liner is short enough to not catch the wind. The first time I hopped on the freeway after installing my bumper, I left one side a little too long and it got caught in the wind, causing the liner to rub slightly on the tire. I pulled over, cut about another inch or two off and it was all good. Haven’t had any issues, even at 90+mph since.

Here’s some photos of either side to give you a visual of what I mean.

You'll also have these little factory bumper extensions sticking out (circled in red) when you do your install. This is from a post by another TW member. These can just be unbolted and knocked out with a hammer to get a cleaner look. Best of luck! 65160D76-3E62-490A-982C-5D1D53F90A3C.jpg

There is also a company that sells a plate to fit in place of those extensions. Ill try and find them and post here

Quick question about how these victory 4x4 bumpers hold up against animal impacts? I love how they look and the fact that they have the winch and recovery point options, but ultimately how well do they protect? Thank you guys.

Hell ya! Just learned something new that will help a ton. I’ll try to fab a cap to fill the ends. I have my bumper but waiting to install until I get a few other small bits and clamps, also a winch. Also changed out passenger CV Saturday. I’ll update when I bolt on hopefully this weekend. Question: Is the 110lbs bumper plus 65# Warn EVO 10S winch too much weight for the Old Man Emu 885 springs (590lbs spring rate, stock is 500lbs I believe). Or do you need to beef the fronts with either more height or stiffer spring?

I know you posted this years ago, but I'm going to post a few pictures of my Barcelona Red 2009 from my phone right now.

Can you tell me what lights you used? Just ordered my bumper, looking at what lights fit best without breaking the bank

The bumper is designed for Baja Design. I used the 20” S8 bar and Amber Squadron fogs. Also updated the headlights with Morimoto LEDs.
