Anyone use the hitch winch setup ?

    I know this is in the 2nd gen section, but I would go for the CBI hitch setup or Mobtown hitch setup. If either of those were available for a first gen, I'd go for those. I have a Drawtite front receiver and a M8000 winch. Its pretty low and sticks out. I keep the winch strapped in the bed on wheeling trips for this reason. CBI or Mobtown will a much better option.

    As a side note, I use the front receiver for moving trailers as well, so I like the option of a front receiver. Will probably end up getting a TG low profile tube bumper since it has a a front receiver and a winch mount.

    EDIT:
    I have Curt not a Drawtite. but they are pretty similar, at least for the 1st Gen's

    Glad to help - BTW, its a Curt, not a Draw-tite like I said earlier. But for the first gen the Curt and Drawtite were pretty similar - The Curt was cheaper so I got that one.

    Im thinking the draw tight bolts on top of the aluminum frame extensions. if so the receiver appears to protrude only 3-4 inches lower than that which should be way higher than the Curtis. The Motown for me is 650 plus shipping though no doubt the best of the best. Also looks like reinstall of the skid plate is not on issue, though only guessing here.

    pretty sure the Curt is built primarily for a snow plow and works well for that application.

    It's not $650 I didn't pay anywhere near that. But he lives in the Yukon so who knows what that does to the price between VAT and exchange rates and shipping.

    I think our dude is getting ripped off on eBay unless the Canadian/US exchange rate is a lot worse than I thought

    Don't go to eBay haha. I have to bump up the price on their to cover their 12% they take, and their shipping calculator blows but I have to have it on their to post a listing, either that or offer free shipping which I can't do on these because of their weight. If you go on our website, it should let you calculate the actual rate that shipping will be. http://mobtownoffroad.com/product/front-recovery-bar/

    It will be higher than normal if it is going to Canada because of all the customs legalities but there is nothing I can do to get around that one.

    Hey thanks for the quick bounce with all the additional info. Your set up is definitely the cats Meow. I am thinking about setting up an Alaskan address soon (Skagway) or better yet, go cruise the Arizona desert like my old days and load up on bolt-on goodies.
