Anyone use this Motiv Oil Filter Wrench Set

Toyota 2.0L - 5.7L Oil Filter Wrench, Drain Tool, and Funnel Bundle - Motivx Tools

 

I have an older version of that kit and it works great.

 

I use a similar funnel (OEM Tools) that works great for the oil re-fill, elimination any mess. It looks to be the same design. Haven't used the oil filter wrench above, however assuming it 'fits' the oil filter housing it should work fine.

 

I have the older version where the filter wrench has the slots but the other parts are the same. The drain tube is really nice and lets you moderate the flow and not have any flow until you're ready. The funnel is a bit small and still comes out an angle. So if you're pouring from a large 5 qt bottle you need to be careful. Wish the funnel came with an angle extension so it would be vertical. There are other universal funnel kits that have it. So I stack a larger funnel inside this one to have a bigger target.

I have the older version of the filter wrench that was available last year. it is very good. I never bothered to get the funnel or the drain tube a funnel is a funnel. I have a $1.99 one that works ok and a big drain pan to catch the mess.

 

I have that kit. I really only wanted the filter wrench but it was out of stock at the time.

Yes. The wrench, funnel and drain hose work well on my 2019. The drain hose is way better than the included plastic drain nipple.

Yes I've used the new version, the same style the one you linked. Works very well I think. Only used it once so far though as I've just started doing my own oil changes. I think it's worth it.

 

I have the older version of this and have used it on my Lexus GS350, Tacoma and Sequoia. Super annoying to have to use one of these things but I'm glad I don't need separate ones for all my other toyota-based motors.

 

I changed my oil last Sunday and pored a 5qt container into my engine using the above funnel had no problem what so ever and didn't spill a drop of oil.

 

I only have the funnel but it works great.

I have the kit. The funnel works for the taco and a 19 Camry.

the oil filter too wrench too.

The oil filter plug and hose I warn might take a practice or two to be “spill free.”

Is it worth it? Idk. But the funnel sure is nice. The oil filter wrench is pretty tight. Like really precisely tight kind of tight.

I have it and love it. I don't use the hose, but the wrench and funnel are great. Highly recommend it for sure. No problems with it whatsoever.

 

I use the Funnel and like it. Have had no problems.

Bought the kit when I got my 2021 and everything seems to work as intended and makes oil chances less messy than on my other vehicles.
