    I thought so too, but then I saw the threaded part and got the funnel. Call it excessive, but I changed the oil in my last car roughly 33 times on the way to putting 200k miles on it. (I change the Tacoma at 10k, so I know it won't be as many) and having the right tool makes it easier. The last few changes went very smoothly with no mess to clean up.

    Yep, plenty pitch to pour a 5-qt jug of oil without spillage. That angle is actually nice because you don't have to lean over as far as you would if the funnel was more upright.
