I have a Body armor 4x4 rear bumper with the swing gate tire carrier and i can say I am never Buying anything from Body armor again. the install was easy fits perfectly but the gate is designed poorly. I am going to be replacing it with a relentless fabrication standard rear with swing gate.
The body armor 4x4 was a purchase I made before I was on TW so I knew nothing. DO NOT GET BODY ARMOR 4X4

Ok,some of you have it,great. I can actually get this bumper for $385 shipped. I just want to replace my chrome one with black, figured I might as well "upgrade" a little. Now,I know it's not a top shelf bumper. SO those of you who have it,are you happy with it? Also will not be using the tire carrier option.

I am not going to get the tire carrier as I can have one made for me. I don't have a problem with mine quality or otherwise. The fiancé ordered mine like a week after I joined on TW from Amazon and it was cheaper than that so check there first.

There is always going to be better ones out there but FWIW I am happy with mine and has been nice knowing I have armor in the rear. was simple to put on and still looks the same other than some white paint from a twit in a parking lot...

If you are not using the tire carrier and just looking for a little upgrade then it is great it was easy to install and looks the same I have a DCLB so on the trail ill scrape on the back a little some times and it has held up extremely well.
Just do not get their tire carrier

    Hey OP,

I have this bumper and tire carrier. I've been happy with them both. No problems with either.

I am thinking of selling the pair though. My build has gotten more off road oriented than I thought it would... I'm going all in, chopping the bed sides, and going full high clearance.

I don't know where you're located, but I'm in North Jersey, and mine is for sale

I just put this on my truck today. I like it. Are there better ones?? Sure. But I can't justify spending 800 to 1000 dollars for a rear bumper, especially when this one suits my needs. I have heard bad things about the tire carrier, but am not planning on one of those.

    Looked at these before, question:

Are there license plate lights with these? Are plate lights not a required item?

I used license plate bolts that have lights in them. Worked great.

I used license plate bolts too. Not that expensive.
