I just took an offer for 12 months for $60 to try it out.

I've noticed it's a PITA to station surf. If you use it the buttons on the left on the steering wheel it jumps from XM to your radio presets, is that something that can be changed? Also when going through the music it keeps repeating a certain genre of music so you go from channel 51-55 then back through only those you can't just browse through. Am I missing something here? Anyone that uses XM have any info they toss my way? Gonna really be annoying to have to keep selecting a new set of channels to browse each time I want to go through the list.

So I have XM but I don’t browse. I have about 5 stations programmed and only jump between those. Can you browse with the knobs?

I can only browse a specific category at a time. I can use a fast scroll (hold steering wheel button) and I can get out of the loop but then my eyes are focused on the screen which at that point handsfree just becomes redundant.

    Ok I just tested mine.

Click audio. Then XM. Then channel list at the bottom. Select all. Scroll with right radio knob

Can’t do it from steering wheel.

Thanks I guess I'll scroll through with the wheel until the loop then use the knob to change. Absolutely going around your ass to your elbows but still.

I do, it mostly programmed presets. When I try to view all channels, it stops scrolling up/down until you stop for safety reasons. Lame.

Nope, the reception for XM is garbage in the redwoods area of California. Spotify premium is where it's at. They prebuffer songs on a playlist just in case your internet reception is spotty and you always have the option to download songs directly onto your phone at high quality. Sign up at your local community college for a .edu email and use the college discount for $5 a month.

Keep getting free 6 months service from them and still won't call to turn it on. Seems like a loop of the same songs over and over.

    Pandora is easier and free.

I've had XM for many years. While the Tacomas satellite radio interface does take a while to get used, you can make your favorite channel presets and scroll through those channels. It just takes time to get used to it and learn the radios set up. I like XM alot as I am able to listen to sporting events and music, and not worry about losing reception and finding a new channel.

Did for a while, but ditched it after the promo. Just wasn't worth the money. Not enough variety and too much repetition in the channels.

Bluetooth and a 32 GB USB stick is the way to go for me.

I use it. I just saved a little over 28 stations to the presets. There are a lot of trails out here in socal where I lose cell reception so using Pandora sucks. But XM still works. You can toggle through the presets from the wheel.

Use right knob to go through stations one by one. I only used it during 3 month trial from buying truck and free period around thanksgiving.

They will call you and send you letters forever until you get stern with them, and I mean very stern, to the point of rude and demanding.
