I've been thinking about painting the stock wheels on my white '98 this spring. I was wondering how well Rustoleum Wheel primer/paint/clear coat holds up. If you've used it, please let me know if you're happy with it!

I want to paint my wheels either black or graphite, I havn't decided yet.

I used the Rustoleum Satin Black wheel paint on my stock wheels about 3 years ago. The only part that has chipped is on the plastic center cap.

However, when you paint anything it is all about the prep work. I wire wheeled mine down to bare aluminum. Then used an etching primer. Then 3-4 coats of the black with no clear coat (so I can touch them up if I need to).

The paint has dealt with a lot of brake dust without any issues.

Thanks guys! I painted my center caps black awhile back but I think it would look better if the wheels were painted as well.
