Anyone using 4runner trail wheels on there 3rd gen? post pics

Both, I get my alignment from a buddy that works at groove Toyota.

 

Sorry if this has been asked before - couldnt find it, but I'm buying a set of the all silver trail wheels this weekend for my 2018 without caps. WHY is the all machined look cap so pricey?! Does anyone know if the newer black/ machined caps from the OR 4runner wheels fit the all silver Trail 4R wheels? I can't imagine anything would be different other than the color.

 

I really love the look of these wheels on our trucks. Anybody know where the best price for a new oem set is? Also, I'd love to get them powder coated dark bronze. Anyone have a recommendation for a shop in the IE or nearby location?

 

I always have bought mine off of Craiglist since people tend to dump them pretty frequently for aftermarket wheels and put them up for cheap. I usually wait until a set pops up for under $500 but I've seen some as low as $250-300. Then I've gotten them powdercoated - have to paint the center cap yourself though since they're just plastic.

 

This looks great! I'm actually getting ready to do the same thing but matte. This looks like a gloss bronze or am I wrong? Were you able to get the exact powder coat color and have a paint shop match it for the center caps? Love the truck man

 

Thanks! It's glossy - makes cleaning a breeze. For the caps, I just found a rattle can that was close to the color since they're plastic... you can't powdercoat plastics due to the baking process/etc.

 

I like how they look when they are blacked out, especially black gloss, or even broze.

 

Just got them back from powdercoating. I'm hoping to put them on this weekend with a set of 285 KO2's.

 

What’s the weight on these things? IIRC I saw somewhere they were 30lbs?

Looking to see if there's any interest. Obviously, the 4 Runner Trail wheels are popular - I love them, and decided to run them on my 2019 Tacoma. That being said, I didn't like the center caps so I opted to make myself some (see photos). Is there any interest in these? If so, I'm considering taking orders to make carbon copies - although, I'd change out the black/bronze to the color of your liking.

I just scored a set of 5,000 mile takeoffs from FB marketplace, $150

 

I was about to pull the trigger on these but I found the weight increase counter productive, especially going with a 265/70R17...could I solicit some input from you guys as to the impact the extra weight had going to these?
