Anyone using 4runner trail wheels on there 3rd gen? post pics

Pretty sure these are actually around 27lbs. A couple dudes on the 4runner forums have weighed them. I'll try to find the posts.

What size wheels/tires are those? Any lift or is that stock height?

 

That is stock height on 265/70/17 Falken Wildpeak AT3W's.

This is right after installing a Dobinson's 2-ish inch lift (C59-314 coils on GS59-221 struts/L59-110R leaf springs with

$335 GS59-940 Dobinsons Pair of Rear Shocks Compatible with Toyota Tacoma 4x4 2005-2018 - GS59-940

GS59-940 shocks) with same wheels and tires and Spidertrax 1.25" wheel spacers. Didn't really settle any lower than this except maybe the most negligible amount.

 

How much??

 

Looks amazing, even with the stock height. I need to do more research on differant sized wheels and lifts and how they affect things. For example will my odometer not function properly if i install differant size tires/rims? Any good site to learn about this?

Is there a way to adjust the computer in the tacoma to account for differant sized tires/rims?

265/70/17 Cooper Discoverer AT3s with stock SR suspension

 

At a point yes. 265/70/17 sized tires/wheels will be totally negligible in regards to the effect on speedometer reading. 285/70/17s will throw off the speedometer but I think it’s like 4-5mph at 65mph or something.

I don’t know if a specific site, but if you Google something like “speedometer difference with tire size” you’ll likely find tons of calculators.

I forget what the company is called, but there is a programmable cable that can correct the Tacoma speedometer based on tire size. Hopefully someone else can chime in on what company that is (OVTune can’t adjust speedometer readings)

Just got em on my 1st gen with bilstein 5100's on lowest setting and ome 2881 2" lift springs wrapped in 285/70R17 Americus Rugged Mt's. Surprisingly quiet for a mud tire.

 

Stock sport suspension and 265/70r17 Goodyear Duratracs. My mileage has definitely suffered, and the used Duratracs are noisy. But for $140/set, I’m not complaining.

 

I have always liked these 4runner wheels and knew I wanted some for my newly acquired 2021 Tacoma. Little did I know I would find a thread about it on this forum.

 

I’m thinking I’d like a slightly wider stance with these wheels. Anybody running a spacer with these or foresee any issues with doing so?

What’s height size of gorilla nuts? Because I’m not sure what size of nut lug I need to buy with aftermarket rims.
