I use a big block of 4x6" wood that I had left over to get extra height on my racing jack or under my stock bottle. On the jack I can turn the block length wise if I really need more height and I keep both in my bed tool box just in case.

Saving up for some @DMZ Fab & Race Prep skid plates to do it right. http://dmzfab.com/product/jack-skid-plate-small/

I have the 2-1/2 ton version of that and it's been good. If I need to get the back wheels off the ground, I need to put a 4x4 block under the hitch to do so, but it works great on its own up front.

EDIT: Ha, Just realized someone bumped a 5 year old thread so I doubt the OP cares anymore.

That was me ;) I bumped it up since I stumbled on it in a search. Had to promote those cool DMZ skid plates I discovered.

The HF jack is so-so.... Doesn't really lift my truck as much as I'd like but it is lowered.... It also seems to struggle a bit with my Uncle's Yukon
