to level out the front but keep things as close to stock as possible?

I'm thinking about doing this up front to try and eliminate the rub I am getting from 265/70 17 Cooper S/T Maxx tires.

I like the stock flaps up front but the drivers side rubs like hell.

I figure a 1/2" top place spacer on the driver's side coupled with a 1/4" top plate spacer on the passenger side would be perfect.

I'm lifted 3". Part of my setup is 1/2 (or 3/4, can't remember) on both sides. Plus the OME trim packer on drivers.

Before the lift, I had just the spacers on both sides. Here is a pic or that setup with 265/75-16's

While the spacers will help you at ride height, you will still rub once you hit bumps. Your best bet is to either remove the mud flaps, or to look into aftermarket flaps that are a lower profile. Rokblokz makes some for our trucks.

I'd just hate to see you spend the money on something and not have it fix your problem.

I agree. Aftermarket Mud flaps are fine until you go to 33's. The you have to remove them and cut cab mount

My truck sits about a 1/4" lower on the drivers side (Taco Lean).

Cosmetics for me is big too. I just want to pop the front up a bit on each side and make things level.

I will say, the Cooper Tires are amazing on the wet roads up here in the Pacific NW.

I was running Nitto G2's and they sucked, really really bad.

I would never recommend anyone buy those tires. The back end was all over the road. Terrible.

I love the look of your truck.

I got the sport but I really like the black fender flares. They look great!

New Truck taco world.jpg Tacoma new tires 1.jpg Before and after, I am running 5100s front and rear. Using stock OR coils 5100 set .85 with 1/2" spacer driver side, 1/4" spacer passenger side. Nothing in rear except 5100s. Running Goodyear Authority 265x75x16C on sr dark alloy oem wheels. OEM mud guards no rub at all. Check the specs of the stt.max tires, my tire specs are the same as duratracs 31.5 x10.5. Stock rims can also make a difference, I have heard from others on this forum wheel spacers on stock oem wheels can cause rubbing. Hope this helps.

Looks nice. I like that stance. Did you measure before and after lift heights? If so, how much lift did you get with your setup?

Thanks, Before measured 21" up front and 22.5" rear from center hub to top fender flare. After was 22.5" all around. We also measured from ground to top of fender flare 37". If I remember right the driver rear was 1/8 " different from the rest, didn't remember if it was +/-. Lift was done before new tires.
