I am trying to decide to get a bed MAT or RUG.....

I am leaning more towards the bed rug, simply because it wraps the entire truck bed, vs just the center with the mat.

But i am unsure if the Bed Rug is really that easy to clean as they claim.
And if it is raining outside, will the bed rug be all soaked with water? And does it take a long time to dry?

Just trying to get some insight before i make my decision

windsurfing, loading saltwater soaked gear, and getting caught in the rain with the tonneau cover open has gotten my bed mat soaked. if possible it should be allowed to dry with the tonneau open, or it'll take a few days to dry. otherwise its dry in a few hours. even in the garage. doesnt hold onto moisture.

my only complaint are the cheap steel snaps which get rusty. for the value, i would buy it again. had mine a year now

I had one in my old truck. It had a camper shell on top so I didn't worry about it getting wet and it made the inside of the bed actually livable (if you wanted to sleep in it). I thought about getting one for my current truck but my only issue is... whatever you put back there slides around worse than the stock bed. So I just went with a rubber bed mat. Bed Rug is a quality product but just wouldn't work for what I use it for with this truck.

Old truck with the Bed Rug.

Lol... we kind of were. That picture was taken in Alamosa Colorado as we were stocking up for our trip to Lake City to ride ATV's in the San Juan Mountains. We had a group of Firefighters that used to go out every summer and ride with us before my daughter was born and ride all the trails in that area.

Thats a damn good looking truck! I guess I am favorable to red though. I used to live in CO, but not on the W. Slope. Beautiful country over there though!

Seems like everyone with the bedrug has a top over it?

I don't plan on getting a top for my truck lol..... But I just love how clean the look is with the entire bedrug in the bed.

Amazon sells the entire thing for $350 with tax shipped to my house.....
And everywhere else is like $420

Thanks! I still miss it every day. But... After my daughter was born everything changed and we sold everything we used to tow with it. Add to that Diesel went up to $4.35 a gallon and the fuel was more than the truck payment and we had 2 mortgages so I reluctantly had to let it go.

The Tacoma fits the bill perfectly now for what we use it for so it makes the pain of getting rid of that truck a little more bearable.

We still go to Colorado a couple times a year and my daughter (thankfully) loves it out there. My wife and I were married in Durango and I can retire when I'm 50 so I'll probably end up in Colorado Springs in 8 more years barring any unforeseen circumstances.

Had my Bed Rug for 2 years. Received many compliments from other truck owners.
Not sure I would leave it exposed as it's pretty easy to remove (steal).
Cleans easily and honestly, I don't notice things sliding around.
Probably dries about as quickly as a spread out beach towel.

Swarm of Texans lol... Yeah that would ruin your day ;)

I think I've hit every trail in the San Juans. That is by far my favorite part of the country.

$350 for a outdoor rug to abuse in the bed of a pickup truck is nuts. Get the access bed rug for $80. It will play well with your tonneau cover.

Finally bought my bedrug, tried install it today....
But no matter how hard i try, it just will not fit when it is fully zipped up into 1 piece....

The cubbie hole just will not fit no matter what. Once zipped 1 side of the rug will get pull downward.... making the holes not match

    how are y'all cleaning?

just vacuumed my bedrug. Spilled some coolant on it a while ago
I really don't want to deal with unbolting it to take out, haul to a car wash to spray, and find spot to air dry

just so I can "pretend" to clean my shell underneath which was already cleaned before, doesn't have a problem with water, and will not actually fit DIY pressure washer + scrub brush at a stall because I have a shell

am thinking of renting a carpet cleaner tool, wetvac whatever it's called
hopefully has a handheld attachment extension
like what WalMart etc. might rent

has anyone done such a thing successfully to clean their bedrug?
Can it also be used to clean the cab?
My interior is definitely showing it's age and could use a deep clean given it hasn't had one
and if I rent the equipment for $30 to do the bedrug, might as well do the truck...

Not saying they don't work? But I've never had any luck with them. JMO. Same thing with the ones they sell. We bought an expensive one and it didn't do anything but make the job harder.
