    So we had our cook that's been with us for a few years now decide not to come back for our upcoming seasons. If you can cook (big deal) and want to come see some cool stuff of the southeast coast and get paid for it, let me know. We go out for 5-10 days at a time and are home for a day or two before shipping back out. Youd basically just be in charge of stocking up the food and cooking 3 meals a day for up to 10 people. (we also love snacks and brownies after looooong days :D).

    We ship off April 10th to start the spring season.

    Needless to say, I wouldn't take the job if you get motion sickness of any kind.

    @JimBeam if this isn't appropriate or what not, we can delete.

    EDIT: sure, Offshore trawling research vessel. trips are between 5-10 days long and you DO NOT come home between days. seasons can be anywhere from 4 weeks to 10 weeks long and the cook would be responsible for having meals cooked at 0600, 1200, and 1800. its on a Govt vessel so theres no drugs or alcohol allowed on board. close quarters and good people. the range of coastline youll get to see is from Cape Hatteras NC south, to Cape Canaveral FL. also must be physically fit enough to climb ladders in rough seas.

    Those look like the pictures of the good times.

    Have any from the not so picturesque, postcard times?

    :rofl::thumbsup:

    thought about that after I posted.

    This offer is kind of like a Craigslist add for a used car though. (Old Jeep on 35's, dirty and ragged out........never been offroad.)

    haha no worries, theres definitely non glamorous stuff involved. we are basically taking data (measurements, weights, counts, sex, maturity, age) of pretty much everything we pull up in the net. off of florida we can literally tell what color bathing suit someones wearing, and off of parts of NC, we can be miles offshore. on long runs we can be up to 60 miles off.

    @scottalot that's not blood thankfully. its just some rust. but yea, that was a bad day for us haha.
