"Surely some one made arrangements with the government before hand.
Salmon will most likely be their food."

How can I get a permit to poach just because I'm filming my camping trip?

I sympathize and I'm impressed with Mitch and his chum salmon (not a coho as the show states) but it is illegal to sports fish with a net.

Its a real good show, better than the rest of the reality shows. Its to close to call for who goes home next. I think someone is gonna need to screw up or get sick. These remainders seem to be in for the long haul.
They only made 9 episodes for the sesdon. I've talked w/ Dustin recently. They have edited it so someone goes home each week til only 2 left then it becomes more dramatic.
I applied for season 2 but haven't heard anything.

Cool man, hope the show gets renewed. Seems popular enough that it should. Do you know if they will film in the same area or choose a new location all together?

I kinda think it might be Dustin just cause he hasn't really setup anything that indicates he is in it for the long haul. His camp screams I'm going home.

They are going to try different location, still make it equally as creepy and full of apex predators. But its also still TV so gotta keep it fresh

I kinda figured. I just like it now cause it closer to an environment I see myself camping in. I'm more a fan or the forest than a jungle or African plain. Hope you get picked!

Attach your ferro rod to a leash :D

Did anyone hear about the girl who survived a plane crash and knew what to do from watching survivorman with her dad. Got out okay
by following a stream down to civilization.

There are three guys from Prince Rupert whose boat sunk in Hecate Strait in 2012 and they made it to the shore of remote Banks Island and survived on the beach for 10 days with no extra clothes, no tools and no fire before being found.

I would rather watch someone else do this. Tent camping is my way of roughing it. My wife prefers the comforts of a travel trailer. We are retired, that stuff is for all you younger survivors. :)

If you could choose the next location of where Alone takes place, where would you want it to be?

Yeah that was the link for application, it ended 6/27/15 I believe, but the ratings are doing really well, so I won't be surprised if they do at least 2 more seasons.
Its real fun to look at the list of gear and figure out what I would bring.
Part of me is thinking Sam is the next one to go(but it'll be a close one.)
The others were pretty easy to guess the order.

Several programs have been filmed in Canyonlands and everyone had rough time of it.
Some of the most desolate places in the USA.

I would want to do Maine or Wyoming for locations. Maybe if foreign location Romania or Belize.

I was going to say AK but it would be pretty similar to where they are now. Accept with grizzly bears.

They should do a poll or something and let the fans pick the next location, or they can pick like 4-5 choices and then let the fans narrow it down to one.

Anyone look at the preview for tonight ? Gale force winds and some fool tries to leave. This has been somewhat of a let down, they preface the program by saying these guys are survival experts.
