I have been inspecting EVERY INCH of my truck preparing for court case over dealership leaving metal and pieces of broken guides in my engine after service.. I noticed something. When I had my leafs replaced, the leafs were literally sagging, even with the AAL. This may only be my truck, but I think the sagging leafs stressed the frame enough to bend it! Could any of you guys look and see if yours is rippled like this? Is this normal and I just never noticed before?

    :gossip: don't think so

Even if your springs related to a frame problem, that's a Toyota problem, not a dealer problem. Plus they'd claim your modifications were a contributor, as you modified the springs to exceed the engineered capacity of the structure.

Be very careful in mixing subject matters in a court case. If the dealer is your focus, keep your focus there. Not to mention that unless you are an attorney, or have a pro bono brother in law in for the grins, Toyota will burn you down on legal costs so fast it would be cheaper to scrap the truck.
In other news, this could be fun to watch.

    NO, NO, NO!

I have no intention in including this in the court case. I strictly wanted know if this was normal. If it is no worries. If not and other people have this problem it may be worth bring to the attention of Toyota. This post was strictly for FYI and possibly helping others. :)

Toyota Corp. not involved at all! Local dealerships are independent, unlike Lexus, which really sucks! This is local case. Toyota Corp. official stated they will not be involved!

    Nice customer service right?

Don't think it's bent...unless you think it could have been in an accident. If a frame bent that far I would think that it would move a lot or just break.

I was more looking at the 'ripple' in the frame right there. I have not noticed any symptoms, just mentioned because it looked odd and i never noticed before? Anyone else's looks like that?

looks normal to me. both mine and a friends tacomas frames both look like that and neither have been in an accident, and i've had dakars on most of the trucks life.

Yeah i think that looks normal.

You gotta remember that most things in life are not built the most people think. Example being your frame is designed to be weak and crumple (in specific locations) in an accident to save your life. A bridge is designed to expand and contract and move all over the place. In some cases several feet. in your trucks case its fame bends up and down and back and forth by up to several inches when you drive it, you just dont notice it. If it didnt do that it would break.

In my opinion the ripples are from 11 years of that sort of action and have not hurt the strength of your frame at all. Its probably relieved of stresses that were introduced during the manufacturng process and its current shape is now the channels more natural shape.
