Anyone that has lifted their 16 taco 3 to 6 in. I test drove one for 120 miles on a Saturday a crew tss 4x4 stock. Me and wife averaged 19.4 and that was 85 miles hyw and 35 miles city. I commute daily all hyw 40 miles each way and then on weekends run about 240 miles mix as lifted like the test drive they let us run it on. I will want the best riding lift and prefer a 5.5 to 6 in whatever is best and rides good or better than stock. I have a 15 tundra crew now and friend has same tundra with 6 in lift and it rides better than my stock one. Anyway I am looking to going to Tacoma but want the 5 to 6 in lift but want to get real mpg from owners.

His six inch lifted Tundra probably has 10000 in coil overs and bypass kits

You are you going to have other problems compared to gas mileage issues. You need to look into drive shaft angles and other issues that appear with high lifts

Wow 19 mpg? Awesome ... I get 16 mpg on the highway at 70 mph bone stock .... so if I raise it 6 inches then mileage may increase as the truck is farther from the earth so the gravitational pull will be lesser hence the increase in mileage per gallon. Duh I never thought about that!

so the Tacoma doesn't do well if lifted like the Tundra? The Ram I test drove also rode as good as stock and it had 6 in lift from dealer. Just not familiar with these smaller trucks and lifts as far as ride quality if lifted. One member has that inferno with lift and 22 in wheels I really like looks of that truck a lot. I wouldn't do 22 in wheels but love the look of that truck and that lift. But I do know everything has trade offs and I do not want to lose the ride quality of new Tacoma. It rides pretty good for smaller truck and love the interior. Seats were only issue not raising and lowering. But nothing is going to be perfect.

Just remember. The higher the lift, the better the ride quality. Also, higher mpgs..
