So in theory I could just do the front for now and replace the rear later and maybe do the aal when my cash flow gets better?

It's firmer in a good way. The nose doesn't dive when I come to a stop. It's firmer in the turns. Also, it feels less like a school bus bouncing around when I off road.

Bump. I’ve wondered about only doing 5100s/88? in the front only. I want a little lift in the front to level out. 19 TRD OR

You will be fine without doing anything in the rear. The truck sits about 1.5-2" lower in the front so the new coils and 5100s will just level it out. I ran 885s and 5100s for a while and it was good. Now I have bags and cradles in the rear.

First pic is with rear stock and front 885s

    Second is with the bags.

Tires are slightly larger than stock, 265/70/17

It appears the first pic shows a little bit of a lean in the rear, was the pic right after install and the front hadn't settled yet or is from the camper top with the stock rear?

That is correct the first pic was immediately after pulling it out of the garage after I did the lift. I should also note I have a USOffroad front winch plate and winch in the front that adds about 100 pounds and they are not Installed in that pic. It has settled some since.

If you do 5100 on both the front and the rear (without aal, still) at the same time, does it prevent that lean from the get-go?

ARB has recently redone their spring rate charts so people with newer springs aren't seeing quite as much lift as the older coils. This info was given to me by Marie at Headstrong. She sent me a chart I'll try to find it.

I did a 1/4" spacer on the driver's side and it evened my taco lean out. Some people go bigger but 1/4 did it for me. My rear is adjustable now also so I can make it do anything I want.

Thanks, yeah I knew about the spacer for the taco lean. I was talking about the rear squat look before it levels out. If I swapped out the stock rear shocks at the same time, would it prevent that look?

Maybe someone who's done both at the same time knows?

No the rear shocks don't do anything in terms of height. There is no lift settings or adjustability. The rear leafs provide the ride height the shocks just dampen the movement and keep it from being bouncy. You need blocks, shackles, bags, add a leaf, or new leafs to get lift in the rear.

I can't tell, is your stance dead flat now, or is the rear still a bit higher, especially with the added rear block? Are 5100 (0) + 885s in the front tall enough to cause the driveline vibration? And do you need an aftermarket UCA with this setup?

It’s pretty much level. I expect the front to settle some from the new spring. So I might have a small rake after that, but that’s fine. Won’t know for a week or so. No vibration and no UCA.

5100s front and back. Stock springs, front shocks at first setting. Still one inch higher in the rear.
    Rides great.Will go up a size(265\70- 17) when tires get replaced.20190503_133507 (2).jpg
