Oh one other thing, the bolts that hold the cover on in the front are annoying. They could make them 1/4" longer and it would make it so much easier, but I was doing this by myself.

It snowed today. There was only one wet spot all the way at the front, but not sure where it came in from. Will need to do more testing, but not too bad.

I bought an Undercover Flex from autoanything.com. It was $798 with free shipping. Installed it myself in less than an hour. It's a hard tri-fold style. So far it has kept my bed bone-dry through rain and regular washes. I would imagine that in a high-pressure car wash you'll get some leaking with nearly any top, so I would be prepared for that. I have nothing but good things to say about the Undercover flex though. It also comes with a 3 year warranty, and I've heard lots of good things about their customer service.

I found the same with my Double Cab/5' Box (not sure which size yours is), but I used a longer bit and it made the install relatively smooth. I found some of the bolts they sent for install needed a little extra love to get installed, not cross-threading - but felt like they were.

Just received my Truxedo Truxport today. I had a Trifold aluminum cover on my Ford and it worked great until the sun got to it and the seals over the hinges dried out and cracked. Then it let water in. Now that I have a Tacoma OR DCSB, I felt I would lose too much bed space to haul anything significant when it was folded up. Price was also a factor as I only spent $239 shipped and no taxes on the Truxport. I think I paid $750 for the trifold 8 years ago.

I have factory and it was dry all winter inside. Was worried when I Nantes to hit Tahoe and other trips with cloth bags in back. They stayed dry even through there's some(minor) water infiltration.

So that's that considering we got hammered this winter. For sure.

I have the weathertech soft cover and I must say the fit was pretty bad. Everything went together decently but the cover it's self had to be forced inbetween the rails it's about a 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch too long. Also the front part of the cover is held in place by the tensioner which is made of plastic. So when I was tensioning it it was flexing badly and I remedied it by putting some self tapping screws through the rail into the aluminum part of their cover. Now it looks really nice but the front part still has to be forced inbetween the rails to fold it up or to lock it. Honestly wish I went with the truxedo lo pro. But I went with weathertech because of the reputation which was a msitake

Been looking into the tri-folds ever since day 1 and have finally settled on the extang trifecta series. Questions: they are making the signature series 2.0 vs the original which appears to be old stock clearing out. From what I can tell the old signature series had 2 rows of stitching along the edge and the 2.0 looks like only 1 row-- can anyone confirm who has the 2.0 signature? And is there anything else they may have removed or improved?

Finally, Im guessing the signature canvas is like a convertible top vs the vinyl top of the regular-- how easy is it to clean say, bird and dirt out of the canvas? Vinyl I know I can just wipe off... canvas not sure.

Did we ever figure what the deal is with the factory cover and if we can order them?

I'd gladly spend the dough for an OEM cover but if I can't get it through a dealer I'll have to settle for buying privately.

There's also the strange side plugs you have to buy for the OEM tonneau if it's not installed from the factory as well...

If you want to be able move/remove your factory bed cleats, you'll want to stay away from the low profile versions. I have the Access Original roll up, and I can still get mine on and off. Truck Alterations is by far the best price.
