Extang Trifold. Had one on my 07 for 5 years. Bought one for my 16 now too. A little pricey but folds up nicely, spring loaded clamps are great, never gets wet in the bed- ever. Easy to remove if you need to take it off. 10 year warranty on the cover and lifetime on the hardware. Autoanything had a 20% off deal a few weeks back with free shipping- couldn't beat it.

160920_004.jpg 160920_003.jpg Undercover SE hard shell plastic. Easy to remove, but takes 2 people to stabilize and carry so you don't bang it into your truck. Comes with 2 hanging hooks to hang it on a wall when removed. Comes with lock. Bolts into the existing tiedown rails.

Loved my Truxedo LoPro QT. If I didn't get a canopy months later it would still be on the truck. Now trying to sell it is hard...LOL!

For those of you with the Gator tri-fold, has anyone else noticed some gaps under the front corners where the rubber seal is not flush with the bed? I seem to have that issue and was wondering if it is common. I called Gator customer service and they suggested adding some 3M weatherstripping into those corners.

I have a factory tri-fold. Works great. Water-tight. No real complaints, but I keep it off most of the time. I live in Texas and it just gets too damn hot to deal with during the summer.

BakFlip Fibermax. In a really bad storm you get some leakage around the front. If you go this route, do research and get the best price, then go to BakFlip and order. They will price match any other offer.

I have the factory one and love it. Keeps things pretty dry. Aftermarket I believe Extang is the same as the factory one.

I installed a Truxedo LoPro 2 days ago. Haven't seen any rain yet. I'm pleased with the look of it.

If you don't have one already, I would get the above tailgate seal. The 2nd link shows the correct way to install the lower seal, (Inverted) TruXedo never mentioned this so I wasted money because I had to redo the seal. I found the Ultimate Tailgate seal for just the bottom which saved me from buying a 10 ft. piece.

Thanks I opted for their tailgate seal with my purchase we'll see if it keeps water out.

I ordered BakFlip MX4. Had BakFlip G2 before and BakFlip FiberMax. All good covers.

I was in the market for one. Did a lot of research and ended up with the factory one purchased from another member here that was replacing it. If you can get it for <$400 with all hardware I think it is a great deal. Solid, sturdy, easy to remove with 1 bolt, and I have had very little water get it mine.

I did also. Just was aggravated with TruXedo for not explaining that the lower seal goes on upside down on the Tacoma's. The TruXedo seal will work fine if you put it on upside down like the Ultimate Tailgate seal directions shows.

Actually I bought the TruXedo Lo Pro from AutoAnything and the TruxSeal on Amazon. Then the 2nd seal on Amazon also.

Interesting comments on here re the factory cover being water tight. I have the OEM tri-fold on my 16 OR access cab and to be honest there are gaps all over. I've tried to close the gaps by adjusting, the dealer has, i finally resorted to black caulking. Not at all impressed with the cover from that perspective but the same holds true for other issues with the truck that in 2016 that I though would have been resolved by now.

I remember that the factory cover listed as a $650 option. From what I've heard is minor bed rail cover trimming is required though.
