It seems to be coming along the entire side. The left is worse than the right. I have a Bakflip G2 on order through the dealer which they will install. Hopefully that will be better!

ive noticed that the factory one needs 2 clicks beyond just putting in place to secure it. when you initially close it, you have to press down in the middle of the section over the latch to completely secure it.

I am biting the bullet and having an American Roll Cover installed - more $$ than I wanted to spend but it does everything I want.
Did you have the drain tubes installed? Just wondering if that is necessary - if a bit of water gets in I really don't care much.

I'm trying to decide between the retrax and the gator retractable. They do everything I need to do.I love you could lock them in any position . I know they're a little more expensive but the reviews on them are excellent. As far as the drain tubes I'm going to connect the two with a Y in the front and run a tube to the rear of the truck under my bed rug and let it drain out the tailgate. I'm not drilling holes in my new truck.

Hi All, First time poster here, quick question, How secure are soft covers? I'm looking for a temporary fix before getting a hard shell and just want something to prevent someone from snatching my cover or whats in my bed. Not professional thieves but just the opportunity thieves if you know what I mean.

    Thanks,
    Josh

You can cut a soft cover with a knife, if that is what you are asking... :)

Not exactly, I know a soft cover can be cut, but can it be lifted off the bed with the gate closed?

Generally no, they(the folding ones) have latches that can be accessed only by opening the tailgate. I was seriously considering the Gator Tri-Fold. It gets good reviews and is relatively inexpensive.

Just installed my Lo Pro QT, looks great on the truck but finished up when it was pretty dark already.

I'll have to adjust the tension tomorrow during the day

Are you able to use your tie downs? I'm leaning towards getting the Lo Pro QT. How do you like it so far?

I'll be able to give you for information after today and pictures once I get out of work. So far it seems like a great cover and I am able to use the tie downs, they are installed between the brackets. I will play around with it more today in the daylight and follow back up here

THANKS scooter62 and themajewski! I'm so torn between the Lo Pro QT and the Retrax Pro MX. Would like to make a decision today, but have been researching tonneau covers pretty much non-stop for the past 3 days!

I would take this in to have the dealer look at it. Mine maybe leaks a drip or two no exaggeration. I have been through a couple heavy rains with it already too. Sometimes if the seals are dry or to firm it wont seal. Have them check it out you shouldnt have that much water

I did take it in, they said there was nothing they could do which is why they are buying it back.

Lea Ann if you want a dry secure bed I would get the Undercover SE or Elite. The SE in the link at the bottom of this page and here is a link to the Elite, which member @bulldog has on his truck. I'll post the link to his truck so you can see some pictures.

Thanks for that. I don't need bone dry, just better than what I have. Others with the OEM cover do not leak as bad as mine. I like the tri-folds which is why I went with the G2 and hoping for better than what I currently have.

We had a steady rain here this morning. Tonneau covers are suppose to keep the bed mostly dry. The Extang Solid Fold 2.0 keeps things mostly wet.
