    thinking about painting my bumper. Stock on 2000 tacoma anyone done this that could post pictures? thanks

    Hey, I've got a 99 which is the same style. I bedlinered it black but I could still get a pic in the morning if you want... I like it a lot. It is CERTAINLY better then the grey plastic. I say do it.

    Here is a picture of Cmack 's truck (another member). He painted his bumper black.. Hope it helps

    If you do paint, be sure to paint the entire bumper rather than just the chrome accents.

    can anyone offer any tips as far as painting goes? do i need to scuff it to give the paint something to stick to better? primer,paint,clear?

    well i didnt paint it just yet i used some [​IMG]

    works great for the plastic and takes away all the suns damage heres a before and after

    it worked great and nice and cheap no need to prep anything just brush away and bam great results haha

    later on a plan on painting it

    i always thought about painting mine

    i plasti-dipped the chrome pieces and the grill surrounding

    has anybodys paint started chipping off?

    the only paint thats coming off is on my grill, the bumpers have been fine on mine.
