You will feel it. You won't get flats. That was my experience.

I remember running 20 psi in my diesel Dodge 2500 on 35s off road with a toy hauler in this part of the country. So with us 4 bangers weighing in at what 5200? I'm comfortable at 15 psi. :D

These Toyos are actually 48lb each, most other E load in 265/70/17 are 50+ I’ve found

My previous set was the Geolandar MT G003 in the same general overall size but a 265/75r16. I believe it was the lightest E rated mud tire I could find at the time at 50 pounds. I also was sporting th FN 5 Star wheels which supposedly weighed 19ish pounds.

(Subliminal message, "You will look in the tires for sale section and buy these.") :quickdraw:

Stock size (I know you don’t want to hear that). Then run ‘em bald. See you in 14 years. Good luck!

I do :anonymous: It’s the shit that magically pops up driving on pavement that’s getting ridiculous.

It's all good, whatever works for your area.

Out here in Arizona I had SL rated tires on a new 1985 truck only once. I learned what works the hard way once, but I learned. I hope I learn these new XL tires are enough for my area and the Es were overkill.

Ya, P’s just aren’t cutting it. Definitely get some rims, too and be done with it.

I run nothing but e loads on all my rigs including my 2.7 taco i camp deep back country where e load literally could potentially save me from a life or death situation

I really wanted those tires in 255/80/17 but they got no snowflake symbol…

Does it snow where you live?

I'll just worry myself that a plug kit and one spare will be enough that whole week out there. Hopefully, my klatarismenophobia wont bother me, or worse yet Murphys law does kicks in. :tumbleweed:

Edit, 15 minutes later; Thanks @IEsurfer I'm calling my tire shop now about a return.:annoyed:

Yes it snows here, I don't think I have driven in the snow with them. I don't really like them in the rain either. I have been replacing them since I got them but that hasn't happened yet. Probably go with Yokohama G015, Cooper AT4, or K02-3 BFG, I think 16" Duratracs can't be had in C load, maybe some Ultra terrains SL or C load. I do have some SL 18" General Grabbers ATX on my Ford, those are kind of lite and seem like a decent tire they are loud when it's cold.

265 70 17 fallen wildpeaks at3w have almost 50k miles on them they ride quiet on road and I have no qualms or issues it’s like my 6 or 7th set on all the vehicles I’ve owned if that tells you anything of how I feel about them

I ran 265/75 R16s LRE on my '09 2.7l access cab for years. When I got my '20 SR5 I put the ones from my '09 on it (they were fairly new). I had no problems with the tires.

    BTW, I got 25mpg with the 2.7l engine. 22 with the 2020 (in Arizona--about 18 in Tennessee).
