Anyone here work for Cummins? If so, what's you experience with them and what do you do? I've been stuck in a rut at work lately working normally over 60 hrs and I'm "salary". I was offered a job at Cummins in the parts dept making substantially more than I am currently. Had my phone interview a few minutes ago and waiting for a face to face interview to be set up. Just curious if anyone has any advice about the company, the parts dept, anything to watch out for with them, etc

Well, I'm headed to my face to face interview in a few mins. Kinda funny that this is my first actual interview for a job and I've had 7-8 jobs in the past 15 years

Dot work for them but work in the heavy duty diesel industry. Cummins is taking over big time in the trucking world, company should be going strong for a while

Heard a rumor that Cummins designed the Emmisions for Navistars Maxxforce engines that nearly bankrupted them. No more Navistar medium Duty engine available from them only Cummins.

Well found out today I didn’t get the job. Guess I’m stuck with 60-80 weeks for a while longer :annoyed:

I doubt that, the Cummins system is completely different then the Navistar system.
Correct, no more navistar option, which is why Cummins is going to be doing pretty good for a while
