Hey guys and girls, so I just started a new job a few weeks ago. A little background so you understand. I work for a university, in admissions. We send out tons of emails to prospective students. The person in my position before me wrote nothing down and kept no records. Hence my first task is a system audit.

For those of you familiar with salesforce here is my problem. Email content names do not always match the campaign it is correlated with. Therefore makes my task extremely difficult. What I have been doing is find what campaign I think it is, going into email campaigns "select an existing campaign" to guess and check if you will, if the content is there then have successfully done one. We have 40+ pages of content.

My question, from email content, can you find the campaign it is associated with? Without going through all these back doors and essentially guessing. to give you an idea...

Content name: UG FR name PK Hudson Valley CC Fair Invite 5.6
Associated Campaign: UG name Hudson HSV Invite

For some of you you may not think this is that big of a deal, but when you have almost 700 pages of campaigns starting with "UG" its a pain, and there is no search feature.

    Thank you for any help.

I use SF- just not in that capacity. Every organization that uses SF, has an SF administrator- or you can contact SF help desk.

I've done both, and gone through the help system as well. I have found shortcuts which many of them did not know about...
Unfortunately I think this is the only way to go about what I am doing.
I also think the system was not designed to be audited, it was designed to send mass emails....Regardless, a main takeaway I have is name your content the same as your campaign.

I also use SF but not in that way. Without knowing exact details of how your University uses it, I'm not sure if it would help but you could run reports in SF and dump them into Excel and pivot off of the data to find items related to each other. Again, I use it in a different way and do not know the details of how you are using it so this suggestion to be completely useless.

I've done something similar to this, I created a report with campaign name and template. That way they are both together. Unfortunately I cannot just dump that into excel because management wants more then I can create with just a report. Thank you though!
