i noticed on my 2012 double cab with 3700 miles that sometimes once i hit 65 to 70 mph, i notice a slight vibration from the steering wheel. But its weird because it doesnt do it all the time, just randomly here and there. Not sure how to handle this one. I figured if it was an alignment issue then it would be doing it continuously. Any suggestions?

Check your wheels for mud build up next time it happens.

would it be doing it randomly though if it was a balance issue?

Mine does it, but it's not a real big deal, figured I have them rebalanced at the first oil change.

Are you running aftermarket wheels with different offset than stock? You will get more steering vibration with 0mm offset wheels because the scrub radius is larger (i.e. the contact patch has more leverage over the steering axis).

Check the wheel balance. A wheel weight could've fallen off. There could be some interaction with the pavement texture that makes the behavior inconsistent.

I had the same issue. Got mine rebalanced at my first oil change and it went away for good.

I think it seems random because you're not always accelerating at the same rate. it would only vibrate on mine when I pick up speed pretty slow and steady, if I got on it i didn't feel them

You can probably negotiate it to have the balancing covered. Balancing two front wheels isn't expensive (~$25).

Driver faster than 70 mph.

I had a similar problem back in the 1970s. Seems the belts in early tire designs had a tendency to 'walk around' the tire as it was driven, thus altering the balance. The shop manager could feel the belt shift on the suspect tire. (factory origonal) When I got a set of Michelin tires the problem was gone forever. Might not be your issue, but just throwing the idea on the table.
