Snorkels are also the only "real" cold air intake system (except an intercooler) since it actually takes air from OUTSIDE the engine compartment vs. my stupid "cold air" intake form K&N.

How is what I said wrong lol?

    I'm going to assume you're a troll.

Either a troll or you've never wheeled the truck. Like I said, my intake used to be full of "mud" not dust, mud, and wet streaks before I snorkled. So it helps with dust, but I could care less about dust, muddy water is a bigger concern to me.

    Plasti-Dip'd some crap
I hated the all silver interior of my 2nd gen SR5 so I sprayed the cupholder area and the faceplate of the HVAC controls black with plasti dip. Once the mounting kit for my planned headunit upgrade comes in I will hit that with black too. If I actually like the look long term I will go back and do it proper with real paint and finish with satin or matte clear coat.

Used 1/4th of a can so $3 mod that freshened up the look of the interior. I'd say thats budget friendly.

I hesitate to paint interior besides the door sill protectors. Truck bed coating on those works really well

I feel the same way but Plasti Dip is easy enough for me to take off that I don't feel like its a permanent mod just yet.

Interesting that you only quoted me.

A more correct statement from me should've been "the primary reason for a snorkel..."

Hence the primary function of the snorkel is not for going underwater which is really the only thing you're disagreeing with me about.

To go as far as to say that I don't wheel or I'm a troll just tells me you're too thin skinned and I suggest you block me. You did catch the part where I gave an example of when the snorkel would be useful right? After all, you did quote me.

If the OP is here asking for advice, he/she should receive accurate information. That is all.

Cut it off if it gets in the way!

OME has a relocation kit if you opt against cutting.

TW is full of trolls and your "primary reason" is subjective.
    It's not my primary reason.

    EDIT:
I'd be concerned if my primary reason is dust going through my air filter...
Water getting to the throttle body ranks higher on my list.

I enjoyed sawing my exhaust off right under the cab. I’ll admit I get nervous when VSP are near
