    A bowling thread!? SUBBED.

Been doing this game for years. Finally really getting back into it after a decently long hiatus. Headed to nationals in Reno in August, and trying to get things dialed in by then!

Also, hit me up when you're in town. Can get you on some lanes for warm ups and let you know how the nationals oil pattern was for my team(s). Beers on me if you're interested.

Thanks. Definitely going to need some luck. This will be my first national tournament, but I've heard that they really throw some really tough ass oil patterns at you.

Played well tonight. Threw 5 games, but only got proof of 3 (for a 648 series). Went 1098 over 5 games for a 219 average. Feeling pretty good and just getting warmed up for nationals in a few weeks. Looking forward to drinking beers with @memario1214...

Imma be on the lanes pretty much every night now until we come down there. I've really been struggling the past few weeks! Gotta tighten this up!

Been trying to get prepped for the nationals coming up next week. Kind of disappointed that I didn't get to catch up with @memario1214 while he was in town this weekend. Ended up throwing a couple of decent games tonight. Funny thing was I payed to play by the hour and had 6 minutes to start/finish the last game. Turns out I play well when I have to bowl as fast as possible.

    First game...

Nationals on Sunday/Monday. Sunday is the team event, Monday is singles and doubles events. Got one last practice session in today. Had a difficult pattern, so first game was tough. Got the hang of it in the second two games...

Just saw this! I was pretty "meh" at nationals tbh, but I think I might cash in singles. Only shot like 500 in doubles, but squeaked out a six in team and singles. I've been pretty inconsistent this year so I have been working through a bunch of stuff.

Nice. Was told the patterns were pretty tough. What is your average (or converted sport average)?

Had a great time today. Threw them okay, but left a few out on the boards. Hoping for better results for the singles and doubles. Went for a 586 series. Not my best, but pretty good considering the oil pattern.

    I converted to a 190 this year.
Dub/Sing is short and dry. I found my best luck to be urethane up about 5 board. It broke down enough to have a clean pearl shot by about game 5.

Good to hear it. A 190 converted score is pretty good. My doubles/singles rounds didn't go too well this morning. Shot a 506 for doubles and a 531 for singles. Was definitely a tougher pattern IMO vs the team pattern. Consensus for our group was the team pattern had a bit of forgiveness, whereas the doubles/singles pattern was ruthless. Couldn't miss by a board on the doubles/singles pattern without paying the price. Overall experience was awesome though. 10/10 would do again (and likely will).

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
I only saw the mechanical side. I can’t bowl for shit. The last machines I saw were AMF 8270 and Brunswick 5 pin machines around the year 1977. Anyone here remember Wally Gay?
