Anything Bowling

Moved to Reno a few months ago and just started a new league. Last week was the first week and it was a struggle getting used to a new house pattern. Shot a 589 last week. Dialed it in this week and got a 700 series. Pretty happy with it...

 

Another 600 series tonight (664 scratch). Not a 700 like last week, but not bad. Still trying to feel out the pattern especially as the temps are heating up and spreading out the oil a bit more than I'm used to. Happy with the last few weeks for sure...

 

Came damn close to another 700 series tonight. Choked in the 10th of the last game and left a 7 - 10 split. If I could've marked, would've been there. There's always next week I guess.

 

600 tonight. Need to work on consistency...

 

Another 600 series tonight. Had a 200+ average over the last couple years. Now sitting at 196 (not counting this week). Have some work to do over the last couple weeks of the season if I want to hit my normal 200 USBC average...

 

Looks like they did some improvements since I was there last.

700 on the button tonight. Couldn't keep the last game together in the 8th and 9th frames...

 

Another 600 tonight. Actually got the number of the beast. Had 4 consecutive splits in the second game, but was able to find it again...

I haven't posted for a bit, but have been finding the groove over the last few months. Got a few 600 series over the last couple weeks...



Picked up a Innovative Revivor a couple weeks ago as well. All of mine and my wife's balls were straight gushing oil. Definitely helped to make our equipment more consistent...





Hoping all of this has an effect since the nationals in Vegas are coming up in April.

 

Regular maintenance (baking and re-surfacing) of the balls is starting to pay off. Getting much more consistent hook patterns and scores. A 600 series tonight and prepping up for nationals in a couple weeks. You headed to Vegas this year @memario1214?

 

Dang. Will miss you by a week. Would have loved to have connected and bought you a beer (or 5) for the hookup with the fog lights.

 

Got another 600 series tonight. Came close to a personal best on the third game, but fell short. Will take a 277 game all day though...

 

Headed to nationals in Vegas tomorrow, so had to pre-bowl for my league (usually on Thursday). Conditions were good. Fell just short of a 700 series, but happy with the results. It's nice to have a shot of confidence right before bowling in the national tournament.

 

Dang, nationals were tough. Always difficult when you're not used to sport patterns. Had a couple good games mixed in, but majority were below average. Most notable was a 230 that felt REALLY GOOD...



Also, had to prebowl for league this week since a couple of folks on the team won't be able to make it on Thursday. Was able to eek out a 700 series tonight. Felt amazing to bowl well coming off of a less than stellar performance at nationals. Left a few pins/frames out there that should have been better, but I'll take it all day...

 

Been busy over the last few weeks since nationals. Am now a member in 2 separate leagues, one a normal handicapped league and another scratch league on a sport shot. Had another league just wrap up (so it was 3 total for a couple weeks). Been doing okay on each.
