The one thing I would suggest is to run smartvoltage.

This is because the metal content can vary largely from A36 thus giving you a different cut height at the same nominal voltage.

It's gonna need some fine tuning... I also plan on trying to hook up a foot pedal to the threader used as the drive motor

BUT, I think it will do the job. we ran a test piece of 1/8" flat bar through it just to try it out.

    Badass!

Does the upgrade reduce your radius for rolled parts like tube? I don't even know what the smallest radius you can achieve on that thing.

you can still use the original roller location, so not losing any radius from the non-modified roller. but with the weld on wings it is supposed to make rolling thicker metal easier.

Just have to roll with the bit of learning curve...

A feature I never really used much at all on Fusion is called 'finishing overlap'.

I know some people love it, at least for those I've recommended it to for cutting really thick material, but it's an option that was never offered in STV's Optimum.

They just rolled out with another update to add it as well as fixing a bug I had found just a few days ago.

The bug, if you're wondering, is one where lead-in points would not reset on a loaded DXF when you used the nesting feature in Optimum. What would happen is when you nest your items, then proceed with adjusting things like lead-in, etc. it would actually take the item's placement post-nest, but basing the lead-in point where it was when initially loaded. To overcome this easily, you would just nest, then change something to force an auto refresh so the lead-ins were now with wherever the item has moved to.

Also, they've added remote in directly into the controller software so no more using a 3rd party.
