    Is that click bait?

Yes this is another question about 33" s.... but more so, I'm a newb and have been reading as much as I can around here in the forums, seems there's a mix of opinion of course, but I REALLY love the look of 33"s on the tacos HOWEVER, I want to add them right... I'm not sure of all the impacts the weight of the tires has on every part , since I am not a mechanic, I would assume the stock suspension isn't built for the weight? I have come to the conclusion I would definitely need at least a 3" lift ... even with that lift, what is the impact of negative offset wheels to my components? Where can I find a guide to help teach me these things lololol

Basically, how can I ensure that this is done while protecting the truck (as much as possible, yes I know the tires will cause early wear of components) .... also, what do people do with the 33" under the truck bed, doesn't the exhaust pipe melt the tread if it's that close??

Also my goals is overlanding and a daily commuter, 3.5 miles to and from work and that's it... :p

An answer you're not gonna like.

Do you want or need ? Big difference.

As for extra wear it is true. Some less than others. Engine has to work harder for heavier wider tires, negative offset puts that weight further out. Cv's brakes ect.

    Have you thought about a 255/85R16 or a 255/80/17 if you really absolutely want/need a 33?
