Made myself a new ground cable tonight. Easily double the wire size so i hope it runs smoother next time i give it a try. The old one you could see insulation melting at the ground clamp.

Got to use my hydraulic crimper for the first time since i bought it a couple years ago, haha

I would 100% pass it though the bumper. There are some insane forces at play in a recovery and can be from any different angle. Even if the weld stays good, I bet you’d bend the recovery point fairly easily.

This weekend I worked on my hot glue skills. Didn't finish, but will be able to get back to it in two weeks to complete. Still need to cover the diff bumpout, add gussets, drill an oil drain hole, make some spacers for the rear bolts since the crossmember is not flat, and finish weld everything. About $70 in 3/16" plate for this one piece, compared to $180 for the cheapest off the shelf option, and it was a fun project. Have enough plate to make skids for trans and t-case as well, those will come eventually

As many as I can fabricate
Yeah I like extending the tow points to the frame if you can. I don't think they'd hold up under the four wheeling you do.

    Ok that makes sense.

No Doubt some reason the school is not allowed to generate there own.

I recall when that plant exploded in KY I think everyone could not get any or was limited for some time or switched to propane

Regardless, that's a lot of calcium carbonate to make that much gas.

I remember when I thought I was the shit having a calcium carbonite head lamp to go spelunking (caving).

Water and rocks made the gas to light our single burner lights.
