Yep. 30A with a Millermatic 250 as the power unit. .035 wire.

I was pretty happy. It was a full year since I had that clunky thing in my hands.

Building a mini flex ramp just because. Using 1”x.120 square tube and it took 60’ worth. Not done yet but should be finished tomorrow. Made it 27” tall.

Looks good. Don't worry too much about the weight of skids and sliders. Their weight is the lowest you can get, so to an extent more is better. It's ballast essentially. Especially when you start adding stuff up top.

Sheesh, I just did a rough count of 20’ of weld being laid on that ramp. All in 1” segments. No wonder it felt like so much effort.

Gave it a try tonight and can 100% say that it is greatly improved!

Had to weld up a cracking muffler on my kooks exhaust. Didnt use stainless but i was actually able to dial it down and weld without blowing the whole thing apart. Nothing worth pictures really though

HA. It's the fact that I work from home and he's in daycare, and I do literally nothing for my work. I just have my email open in the garage and answer them when needed.

Yeah I have been spending the first hour or so of my work day like that, but beyond that I gotta be upstairs actually doing shit unfortunately. :jellydance: Anyway back to welding chatter.

 I work for the VA Hospital. I'll be in the garage working on a headliner so I can get back to welding projects today.

Well, it’s done and it worked. Now I just need to paint it.

You think it would move if it wasn't hitting the garage door lip?

Absolutely. I'll have to have this jammed up against a curb or something whenever I use it. It's a 41 degree climb and even in 4lo, I had to work for it. It felt like I was climbing up a rock vs a ramp.

I'd imagine expanded metal on the surface might give you better traction. :notsure::
