Nifty, but, what's it's intended use for?
    Unloading trucks and trailers?
    Stationary, at a loading dock.
The idea must be an Alpha Prototype.

I needed a bigger fab table. Might as well make it height adjustable.

As a FAB Table, it's not a bad idea at all, given what's being assembled. Not sure the size of Ram you're using, but you might beef that up more. Plan ahead for heavier lift ability.

There are 2 rams. I actually did go bigger.

Did you add safety locks (like a car lift) for the different heights, to lock it in place?

    Sorry for all the questions.

Yes. There is a telescoping tube in a tube with holes. I place a grade 8 pin in the hole that lines up with the height I want.

No worries on the questions. It was a fun project.

This the design I used. I just replaced the carriage with flat piece of steel.

I've seen lifts like what you have there. Pretty sure that's what expanded to what you made for you needs. Why not. Right!!

Just paid off half what I got into the lift table. Worked amazing for building a trailer ramp gate.PXL_20210413_195027887.jpg PXL_20210413_203624241.jpg

Assembled my Harbor Freight purchase from last week. I was going to build a cart but that project was going nowhere and the tank had fallen over once already. Not worth it. lol

So instead of building a cart, now you can build an extension to the top of the HF cart to support the front of the welder and provide a handle to move it around. :D

For the price you really can't beat them. I love mine and I'm surprised at how smoothly it rolls around.

This online service for laser cutting was really good. Cheaper than my usual cutters, free shipping, and was done in less than a week. Oh also I didn't have to deal with a single person. I emailed my usual cutters a week before I placed this order and they still haven't gotten back to me lol. Guess this is my new spot!

You can weld stainless with mig and not need another gas bottle. Look at 308LFC and 309LFC. Use the 309 if it's 400 series stainless. It will give you a good weld but won't be pretty. I just burned some 309LFC recently, compared to steel wire the puddle does not flow so the welds will be a little ropey.
