Trailer up on the lift table. All the upright parts are staged and ready for welding in place. This is when the thing starts to take shape!

These lift tables should be a requirement for any fabber or wrench bender!

    What a back saver!

Showing my weld style. I'm a production welder. Good penetration and move on.

Because the trailer is so long, it tends to bow down on both ends. I place the jack under the back and prop the front to take the bow out. The bow is mostly caused by the shackle and spring hanger where the welds shrank the bottom of the tube.

I didn't think the camera would pick up the bow, but I can see it with the eye.

Top rail welded in...mostly. Still need to do the inside welds. Fenders are about 80% welded in.

Bi-fold tail gate welded in place. Still need to do latches and attach the expanded steel.

Supplier only made one wrong cut. Better to be too long than too short.

Koditten, your trailer build is inspiring! I just placed the order for my trailer bed sheetmetal laser cut and bend today. Should be picking it up in 2-3 weeks. Then it’s time to finish up this project and figure out the California DMV part.

Between that quote and his one about "better to be too long than too short", I think he's trying to get this thread shutdown!
