    Not too bad of specs.

It does not come with a regulator and hose. That will add another $100.

I'd look at the similar units at Harbor Freight. They have a stellar return policy and they are everywhere.

I will look again. Thanks though

The real question is what sort of budget are you working with.

Never heard of that brand! Any of the low end Multi process machines are a big compromise .

I would check out The Harbor freight selections if you have issues they are close.

My first choice would be a Hobart as a starter machine

Your in time going to need shielding gas so it pays to make nice with your local gas distributors

    Good luck.

What is the rated duty cycle? Those cheap multi function machines are usually shockingly low.

Fine if you only have small jobs.

I will take that into consideration and look at some hobart machines. Do you recommend buying used?

Only if you have a friend that can go along That does weld and can put a used machine through a good test making sure everything works.

If I was close I would be glad to help but if your in Florida your just a tad to far away.

If you have no idea yet how things work How can you know

Kinda like looking at a manual transmission vehicle and you never drove anything before.

It happens !! Just turn your plug around.

Better yet just hard wire and be done!

    How is the new House?

I always change my plug and sockets to 30 amp twist locks. I change the cords too . They are always too short .

I hate those 50 amp plugs and the cords are stiffer than a wedding prick!

There is nothing in your welder that requires a 50 amp plug and 6 gauge wire.

Won't hard wire though as I want to have a second welder to swap with.

Freaking love having a garage again. Just dealing with 'settling in' which will come in time. Still need new couches, dining table set, and my stools are still in transit.

I have this nagging feeling to install track lighting between the dining/living area.

The kitchen lights very well with 8 recessed lights, and dining area with it's own 2 recessed lights.

Here's all 10 of them on (excuse the mess)

    20220513_104220.jpg

However, I do have 2 lamps for the living room area alone

    20220513_152859.jpg

My complaint is; the kitchen lighting alone is too bright to leave on (when not in the kitchen) and the living room light is enough just for the area itself.

Track lighting in between might give me enough lighting throughout the living and dining room area, and enough ambient lighting for the kitchen without the need to turn on the kitchen lighting.

Anyway, all else is great thanks for asking!

I just got what Home Depot had

Surprised they had Romex, good stuff.

Only went 50 amp cause that's what my TIG welder calls for (even though I'll never max it out).

Guess the good thing is, my welder sits where the receptacle is so cable length is a non-issue.

As mentioned above, take a look at Harbor Freight's offerings.

I had a chance to play with the Harbor Freight Titanium multiprocessor for MIG and it ran nice enough for me to want one.

It just comes down to two machines for me - the Prime Weld MIG welder or the Harbor Freight Titanium MIG 170.

The price is right for either, and the only reason why I consider the Prime Weld is because I own a TIG225X welder and it is amazing.

Like you, I got into it as a hobby and don't want to go spending $2-3k on a single machine. That and the only real machines I'd want are huge and bulky; transformer-based Miller machines that require 3 phase wiring to run.

Trailer that my tractor came with has seen better days. Looks like it's on at least it's 3rd tongue jack.
Remains of two weld-ons, and the destroyed bolt on that's on there.
    PXL_20220514_221317482.jpg

I tried a cutting wheel first and that was going nowhere fast. Plasma cutter made it much easier. Just have to take care not to gouge the frame.
I have a new ball coupler too but I'm a little nervous about cutting that off. We'll see.

I do very little welding but it seems easier to weld the thicker stuff.

There’s certainly a middle size that’s easier than paper thin or mondo thick.

    What’s this project for? :)

Cleaning up the trailer in the above post. Cutting off old tongue jacks and coupler and replacing.
Cooked the plasma tip pretty good trying to "flush cut" stuff.
