I guess I wasn’t aware of that. My first time doing exhaust work was for a race bike so I’m guessing that’s why I was advised to purge. Thanks for the info, I love the idea of not running through Argon like a maniac… the more ya learn

When you are using farm equipment, you are breaking farm equipment. Dad had broke a boom on his spray rig and we got it braced back up. The pic sucks cuz I had to use my flash cuz it was down in a hole so to speak. But I was pretty happy how that weld came out considering how hard it was to get to. And the other was after I got everything dialed in... And much easier to reach. I did have some much worse looking welds that didn't make the pictures lol.

Just finished a few cuts on some brackets for quick attach pallet fork setup for my tractor.

Lesson learned: when cutting 3/8" tread plate, set your amperage high enough to account for the bump outs (treads) on the back side. See those boogers? Those are areas where I didn't get cut all the way through. The wavy look on the right is where that caused the arc to be deflected.

Live and learn. I've got some more to make. I'll try to do better :anonymous:.

Made some winch mounts today that need to be able to mount to a pipe. We’re using these winches to wirelessly adjust lighting panels off of the basket of a boom lift. Kinda hard to visualize the rig but I’ll post pictures once we actually rig them. Anywho, my boss asked me to make something that would work so I came up with these.

Boss also said, after the show is over I get to keep one of the winches

Thanks dude. The plasma table and some basic CAD knowledge can make a lot of ideas come to life.

The winch mounts were for this rig. The panel on the ground swivels up and down by attaching the winch cable to it with an eyebolt clamp. The panel will have special lights attached to it. Then we will send the lift up in the sky and be able to control tilt with the wireless remote on the ground by pulling the winch line in or letting it out

I got a yeswelder arc125 on prime day for under $80. Don’t really need it, (have other welders) but for the price I thought it might be good for little things.
I wonder if it’s any good, there wasn’t much info on the internet.

I know you asked for someone to PM you, but I'm just here to say that I just got into welding very recently.

Don't be ashamed to ask any questions you may have.

You won't sound stupid. You won't be judged. I promise.

This section has been nothing more than helpful considering the stupid stuff I've asked before.

Thanks dude! Yeah it’s a pretty cool deal haha. It’ll probably end up for sale on here since I already have one. I’ll make someone a good deal whoever buys it
